We always get excited for new chip flavors when they are announced and today is no different. It seems like at least twice a year Lays announces some new flavors that will hit shelves for a limited time and on Tuesday, they unveiled their latest and they look delicious.
Set to hit shelves this month are five new restaurant-inspired flavors as part of the icons series. Lays announced the following flavors:
- Philly Cheesesteak (Geno’s in Philadelphia)
- Kettle Cooked New York Style Pizza (Grimaldi’s in NY)
- Nashville Hot Chicken (Party Fowl in Nashville)
- Carnitas Street Tacos (El Torito in Cali)
- Chile Relleno (Cocina Azul in Albuquerque NM)
As you can see above, these new additions pack a lot of flavor and are inspired by restaurants across the country. Right away, the Philly Cheesesteak, Carnitas Street Tacos and Chile Relleno stand out to us right away.
Nothing against the New York Style Pizza and Nashville Hot Chicken, as we will be trying those as well, but those three really stood out.
These flavors will be hitting shelves the week of July 13th for a limited time at a wide range of supermarkets across the country. The Chile Relleno flavor will be an exclusive to 7-Eleven and Walmart.
